Packers Foundation will award $1.75 million in grants to local nonprofits

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Green Bay Packers Foundation will award $1.75 million in grants to 11 local nonprofits, including in Dane County.

The organization said the grants are aimed at organizations that serve their communities each day and will go towards supporting a variety of projects.

The grants will be awarded during a luncheon event Monday, June 23 at Lambeau Field.

Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy and former Packer Harry Sydney are expected to speak at the event.

Since the grant program began in 2013, the foundation has awarded $11.9 million in grants to organizations that focus on a variety of areas, including education, homelessness, children and families.
