A potential swap deal that could see Manchester United bid farewell to Jadon Sancho and welcome Dusan Vlahovic could be in the works.

The English star is tipped for a summer exit after spending last season on loan at Chelsea, where he clinched the UEFA Conference League. Sancho's most recent outing for the Red Devils was in last year's Community Shield, with his anticipated sale marking the end of a notably underwhelming stint for both sides.

One scenario being mooted for his impending departure involves the 25-year-old leaving British football to join Juventus, with the Serbian striker coming the other way. Vlahovic, previously on Arsenal's radar, has largely been warming the bench at the Italian heavyweights since Randal Kolo-Muani arrived on loan in January from PSG.

Italian media reports suggest that Juve are considering offering the forward - who has a year left on his contract - as part of a deal to buy Sancho, who they've been keen on since expressing interest in him last year, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Despite maintaining a decent goal-scoring tally of 57 goals in 144 matches, the 25-year-old has struggled to replicate the incredible form he displayed during his spell at Fiorentina, reports the Mirror.

He netted 16 goals in all competitions this season, just one shy of the combined tally of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. The Premier League heavyweights will surely be heartened by reports from Corriere dello Sport that Vlahovic snubbed a whopping £17million-a-year offer from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr earlier this year.

Still not at his peak, his choice to stick with top-tier European football is a promising sign for United bosses about the Serb's ambition to earn top honours at the highest level of the sport. A player committed to his club and colleagues is definitely a desirable trait, and it's one Vlahovic showed last season during a tough spell for Juventus.

Following a fourth straight Serie A draw where they could only scrape a 2-2 result against Venezia, the Juve squad, as is customary, went over to the fans under the Curva to show their appreciation for their support.

But the sentiment wasn't reciprocated. The fans hurled abuse and disrespectful chants at the players, which Vlahovic didn't take lying down as he shouted back at the supporters. Sky Sport Italia reported that even though the players walked off, the fans kept up the insults, leading the striker to give them a sarcastic thumbs-up.

While it's never beneficial for a player to quarrel with their own supporters, it demonstrates to United that the striker isn't afraid to speak his mind and defend his team-mates when needed to do so.

Introducing such a strong character into the dressing room could have both positive and negative advantages, and Ruben Amorim will surely be weighing up a multitude of factors as he looks to mould the United team in his image, which could pave the way for a new striker.

It's just been one summer signing so far for Amorim who captured Matheus Cunha for £62.5m from Wolves. Further attacking reinforcements could come in the form of Bryan Mbeumo and Viktor Gyokeres but are both subject to interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, respectively.
