Manchester United need to improve their ability to sell players and that includes first-team and academy stars.
The Red Devils have fallen behind some of their biggest rivals when it comes to selling players, and it is taking its toll on the transfer budget.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are up for sale in the first team, while Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund have also been heavily linked with an exit.
Manchester United confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha already this summer, but further incomings will rely on sales.
It seems United are not only looking to trim the first-team squad, but also cash in on some of the club’s talented youngsters.

Dan Gore put up for sale by Man United
Dan Gore joined United in 2018 from Burnley’s academy and has grown to become a highly-rated player within the academy setup.
Gore starred in United’s FA Youth Cup success in 2022 when he formed a solid partnership with Kobbie Mainoo, who has gone on to be a first-team regular.
However, 20-year-old Gore has not been able to follow Mainoo into the first team and according to Manchester World he could now be sold this summer.

The report claims Gore is free to leave United if an appropriate offer arrives. Gore is entering the final year of his contract at United so a permanent sale is the only realistic option.
Gore has been compared to Roy Keane for his qualities in midfield, but he only has two senior appearances for United and now it seems his only option is to continue his career elsewhere.
Gore was called up to Ruben Amorim’s first-team training on multiple occasions, but it seems he has not quite risen high enough up his pecking order.
Dan Gore injury problems hindered Man United progress
It felt inevitable that Gore would eventually make his breakthrough into United’s first team, but his first few years in senior football have been incredibly unfortunate.
Gore was relegated on loan at Port Vale after hardly playing for the club. Gore suffered a season-ending injury, meaning he only made one appearance for the club before returning to Manchester.
A second loan spell followed at Rotherham last season, but that also ended in disaster.

Gore suffered a ‘strange’ injury at Rotherham which baffled manager Steve Evans. Eventually, Gore returned to United with a fractured foot to begin rehab.
Constant injury setbacks have slowed his progress at United and it will inevitably make it more difficult to find a potential buyer this summer.
