Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is happy at Anfield amid links with newly-promoted Leeds United and Sunderland, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the versatile 28-year-old still has a role to play under Arne Slot on Merseyside with Jarell Quansah set to move to Bayer Leverkusen.
Sources say Gomez is in no rush to quit Liverpool and will be keen to stay fit and available for the 2025-26 campaign after struggling with injury in the title-winning campaign.
Leeds and Sunderland are on the hunt for defensive reinforcements and are targeting Premier League experience.
Leeds and Sunderland will struggle to land Gomez
However, it is believed potential moves for Gomez will be a non-starter with the player keen to remain at Liverpool.
His contract on Merseyside is set to run until June 2027 with the defender already contributing 10 years of service to the Reds.

Gomez managed just 17 appearances across all competitions last term as a hamstring injury kept him out for the second half of the season.
The defender, who can play across the back four, has made 241 total appearances for Liverpool since joining from Charlton in 2015.
Quansah’s imminent exit will leave only Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Gomez as the three senior centre-backs for Slot to call on.

Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (20 June) that Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi wants to join Liverpool ahead of Newcastle, Tottenham and other interested clubs.
Liverpool have now emerged in pole position to agree a deal.
The Reds are set to plough the proceeds from Quansah’s sale into a deal for Guehi, with a bid in excess of £50million set to be submitted imminently.
