Chelsea are amongst the clubs showing interest in 22 year old Premier League star. He has been superb in recent season and can be a great addition. But, the Blues will not find it easy to sign him.
Chelsea are interested to sign some top defenders this summer. But, they want to stick with their policy of signing young players. Earlier, they wanted to sign Dean Huijsen but then lost him. Hence, they are monitoring other players.
As for departures, both Disasi and Veiga are made available in market. In addition, they can also opt to sell Chalobah and Badiashile for right offer. Lastly, they are worried about Marc Guehi due to injuries and hence can sell him too.
Chelsea showing interest in Ukrainian defender
The star in question here is Illia Zabarnyi of AFC Bournemouth. He is 22 year old centre back who represents Ukrain on international stage. Zabarnyi has been very good in recent seasons and is now one of the best young defenders in the world.
According to TBR Football, Chelsea are amongst the clubs showing interest in Zabarnyi. He is also wanted by Newcastle United from England. However, the 22 year old wants to join PSG. Hence, this may come as a blow for the Premier League clubs.
PSG are willing to add Zabarnyi to their promising young squad. Their project is very tempting and hence the 22 year old has given them green light. Bournemouth have already lost Huijsen and now losing Zabarnyi will make them relatively weak in the back line.

Chelsea do have other options in the transfer market. Firstly, they are keen to re-sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. In addition, they have young players like Tomas Araujo and Jorrel Hato on their radar. Lastly, they also have Ousmane Diomande as one of their top targets and hence it will be interesting to see which defender lands at Stamford Bridge.
