In the January window, AC Milan made several loan moves. However, decisions have been made on the final two still ‘present’.
After a subpar summer, there was work to do in the midseason mercato. To their credit, Milan certainly tried. However, Joao Felix, Kyle Walker and Riccardo Sottil failed to really deliver, the latter least so.
Felix and Walker, in the early stages, looked to be rather decent, and talks were held in the early stages for their futures. All three engaged in future rumours, though, with a deal for Sottil even on the table at one point. Now, that is no longer the case.
Possibility to no
Felix’s drop off was rather quick and aggressive, Walker’s was not as bad, but still clear. In Sottil’s case, there was never anything to drop from, respectively. However, each situation was slightly different still.
With the latter two, the club agreed loans with an option involved, and, as Milan News write, decisions have been finalised today about their futures.
With Walker, the decision has been there, or thereabouts, for a while now, and the Rossoneri will not take the €5 million purchase option included in the loan. Largely due to his wages, but also the fact that there is no starting space for him.
Yacine Adli’s potential move to Fiorentina had the potential to facilitate Sottil’s stay. However, the Florence outfit decided against the midfielder and with the Italian not wowing anyone, there is not really a point in the deal.

Both will return to their parent clubs, though the Diavolo are not out of pocket as nothing was mandatory, fortunately.
