It has been a busy transfer window for Liverpool so far, but there is no sign of it slowing down just yet. After a quiet first two transfer windows with the club, Arne Slot has been given money to spend this time around.

The Reds boss is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of a defence of the Premier League title. On Friday evening Florian Wirtz became the third permanent signing of the window.

The German international completed a transfer worth up to £116 million. He joined former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong and Puskas Akademia’s Armin Pecsi in making the move to Anfield this summer.

There has also been exits, with the most high-profile of those being Trent Alexander-Arnold. The academy graduate has completed an £8.4m move to Real Madrid just weeks before his contract was due to expire. Two goalkeepers have also left the club, Vitezslav Jaros joining Ajax on loan and Caoimhin Kelleher moving permanently to Brentford.

Despite the business done so far, there is expected to be movement both in and out of Anfield this week. The first of those could be the signing of Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez.

The left-back has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield for some time. A fee of £40 million has now been agreed with the Cherries, with Kerkez flying back to England to undergo a medical today (Monday). His transfer is set to be announced later this week.

As one comes in, another player could leave the club this week. Liverpool have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen over the permanent transfer of Jarell Quansah.

The deal is worth a potential £35 million. It will see Liverpool paid £30 million up-front with another £5 million in add-ons, with the Reds also having a buy-back clause as part of the deal.

Quansah may not be the only exit over the next few days. Fellow defender Nat Phillips is undergoing a medical ahead of completing a permanent move to Championship side West Bromwich Albion.

The 28-year-old spent last season on loan with Derby County, who he helped avoid relegation from the Championship. He has just one year remaining on his deal at Anfield.

Another player moving to the EFL is goalkeeper Harvey Davies. The 21-year-old isclose to completing a season-long loan to League Two side Crawley Town.

Moving from exits back to incomings, this is probably the most unlikely deal to go through this week, but Liverpool have been linked with an interest in Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi. The sale of Quansah could potentially speed up any moves, with Palace closing in on Sporting’s Ousmane Diomande as a replacement.

The speed that deal is completed could impact on the speed that any deal for Guehi may be completed. The England international has one year remaining on his current deal at Selhurst Park.
