Fred may return to the Premier League soon as Everton want the former Manchester United midfielder this transfer window.
The Brazil international left the Red Devils in 2023 for Fenerbahce, where he played an important role for Jose Mourinho last season.
David Moyes wants Fred at Bramley-Moore Dock ahead of the upcoming campaign, but it remains to be seen whether the Toffees can negotiate a deal with the Turkish outfit.
Abdoulaye Doucoure’s contract at Goodison Park wasn’t renewed, and he won’t be moving to the Hill Dickinson Stadium with the Blues, but the Merseyside outfit’s fans will arguably want someone other than the 32-year-old Brazilian as his replacement.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The news outlet reports (23 June) that the midfielder is pushing for a move to the Toffees in the coming weeks, with Moyes planning to make him a key player next season.
It’s been claimed that the Super Lig outfit are expecting an offer of around £17million for the Brazil international, with Mourinho not keen on his exit.

If the Blues do meet the Istanbul club’s demands, supporters will rage at Moyes’ decision to spend such a significant sum on an ageing midfielder.
The 32-year-old had an inconsistent stint in the Premier League during his time at Man United, and it arguably doesn’t make sense to sign him.
Harrison Armstrong has returned to Merseyside after an impressive loan move to Derby County, and supporters would rather see him given opportunities.

Moyes should forget about Fred transfer at Hill Dickinson Stadium
Moyes could lose Idrissa Gueye this summer, with the Toffees hitting a stumbling block during contract negotiations with him.
While Everton undoubtedly need reinforcements in midfield, Fred’s potential signing shouldn’t be sanctioned; instead, a better alternative target must be pursued.
The Blues have already agreed a deal to sign Carlos Alcaraz permanently from Flamengo, and a player with similar potential would be a reasonable investment for the Scottish manager to make.
James Garner’s performances in recent months should encourage Moyes to trust the youngsters at his disposal and rely on them as the Merseyside outfit start a new era.
Fred isn’t someone the Toffees fans will be excited to see, but his situation will be one to keep an eye on.
