There’s a claim in the Dutch media that Wycombe Wanderers are closing in on a deal for Feyenoord goalkeeper Mikki van Sas.
The 21-year-old looks surplus to requirements at Feyenoord after being loaned to Vitesse last season, and a return to England looks a strong possibility following his time at Manchester City.
1908.nl report on Wycombe’s pursuit for the youngster and state they are making concrete progress to sign him.
It’s claimed the League One club see Van Sass as an option ahead of next season as they look to strengthen their squad. Van Sas came through the FC Utrecht youth system before Manchester City added him to their academy in 2021.
However, the Dutchman failed to make the step up to the first team and was sold to Feyenoord in 2023.
The young keeper has yet to make an appearance for the Dutch giants, but he did get first team experience with Vitesse last season. Van Sas made 12 league appearances whilst out on loan on the Dutch second division.
He’s represented the Netherlands at all youth levels.
