**Fabrizio Romano has claimed on social media that another player once linked with Newcastle United is set to move elsewhere.**
Newcastle have been linked a few times with young Swedish sensation Roony Bardghji, but when the 19-year-old pulled up with an ACL injury in April 2024 and subsequently missed almost a year of football, the Magpies took a step back.
During his recovery, he was [pictured in the same facility as Callum Wilson](https://nufcfeed.com/callum-wilson-spotted-training-with-swedish-wonderkid-newcastle-united-want-as-he-works-on-fitness-927501) when he was in Dubai working on his recovery for the back injury that kept him out of the side for so long.
Bardghji returned to action towards the end of the season for FC Copenhagen, managing six appearances, amassing just 243 minutes of gametime.

Barcelona appear to be the club most willing to take the risk ... but given the fee, is it even a risk at all?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That lack of game time last season hasn't put off Barcelona, who are, according to Fabrizio Romano, pressing ahead with a deal to take the Swedish star to Spain next month, as he posted earlier this morning.
> "🚨🔵🔴 Barcelona are advancing and closing in on deal to sign Roony Bardghji from Copenhagen!"Agreement at final stages with the last details expected to be sorted in the upcoming days.
>
> "The Swedish winger can join Barça from July. 🇸🇪"
HOW MUCH?
---------
Following that initial post, Romano has followed up with more details, and we are really hoping he's missed a zero off his post.
> Details of the move: €2m transfer fee plus add-ons and sell-on clause.
>
> Here we go, soon. ✅🇸🇪
A €2 million (£1.7 million) transfer fee for any player is wild these days, but for a 19-year-old dubbed the 'Swedish Messi' is insane. If that turns out to be the fee that takes Bardghji to Barcelona and Newcastle didn't even _try_, then what are we even playing at? Even if he still wasn't 100% recovered from the ACL injury, that's an insane bargain.
Unless the add-ons are that Copenhagen get £50 million after 10 goals or that the sell-on clause is 90% of the next sale.
