It marks a stark contrast to the Red Devils’ fortunes, with Ruben Amorim’s men enduring a miserable Premier League season and missing out on European football entirely.
Now, that shift in fortunes could impact a key transfer race.
Tuttosport report that Crystal Palace are currently the ‘most likely’ destination for Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, who’s services were recently offered to Manchester United.
The Italian outlet claims the Eagles are actively pursuing the Brazilian international.
Juventus are open to selling for around €25m (£21m).
A fee which would be a significant loss after signing him for £42m just one year ago from Aston Villa.

Luiz had been a target for United during the January window, and at one point was even discussed as part of a swap deal involving winger Antony.
With Christian Eriksen released and Ruben Amorim eager to refresh his midfield options, Luiz remained on United’s radar.
However, with progress on that front stalling, Palace have stepped up and are now leading the race.
Juventus hope that a bidding war might still emerge, but Glasner’s side are not taking any chances.
United losing out on Luiz may well spark much more criticism at INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Luiz possesses vast amounts of Premier League experience, having once been a key cog of Unai Emery’s side for the Villans.
He has struggled to thrive at Juventus – although still remains a useful player.
One who could provide useful depth and stability to United’s midfield.
