The Manchester Evening News. The Palace forward reportedly has a £60million release clause in his contract, plus a further £8m in add-ons.

Eze is also thought to be drawing interest from elsewhere, with Premier League rivals and also among the clubs linked. It has been thought that their involvement in the Champions League next season may put United at a disadvantage, with the lure of Europe's elite competition giving the Gunners and Spurs an edge over Ruben Amorim's side.

But if the 26-year-old sees Old Trafford as his preferred destination, then the potential finances that Palace are open to Eze’s release clause being paid in instalments if a club offers slightly more than his £60m release clause.

It is said that Palace want around £25m to £30m paid up front and then £30m to £35m being paid over two instalments. The Eagles allowed Michael Olise to join Bayern Munich under similar terms, with the German club paying Olise's release clause in instalments.

in what is shaping up to be a drastic transfer window at the Reds. Amorim may also want another attacker, with and Jadon Sancho facing uncertain futures at M16..

Eze has scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists for Palace across all competitions this season, but the Eagles' potential participation in Europe next term may improve their chances of keeping hold of their star attacker. Speaking in September last year on what the future holds for him, he said: "I'm so focused on just being the best player I can be, whatever interest comes, or whatever happens.

"I want to enjoy my football where I am right now. The things that I can control, that's it.

"I'm really, really invested in becoming the best player I can be. Whether that leads me to another club, or to whatever, I'm at peace with that - and I try to stay there (at peace) as well."
