Beto may soon be on his way out of Everton, with David Moyes in need of a replacement this transfer window.

The ex-Udinese striker is attracting interest from Leeds United, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him wanting a move.

Moyes wanted Liam Delap before his move to Chelsea, and now alternatives are being eyed, possibly indicating the Guinea-Bissau isn’t the Scottish manager’s first choice number nine ahead of next season.

The 27-year-old centre-forward seems to be in demand, and the Toffees could potentially have to find a replacement for him in the coming weeks.

It’s been claimed that the Super Lig club’s chief met with the centre-forward, as they’re interested in signing him during the ongoing transfer window.

Considering the uncertainty around the futures of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Youssef Chermiti, Moyes won’t be pleased about the prospect of losing the 27-year-old.

Moyes should block Beto transfer at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Calvert-Lewin’s future at Bramley-Moore Dock is uncertain, as his contract expires at the end of June, and the Toffees have yet to reach an agreement over a new deal.

Chermiti is attracting interest from Stoke City, but sources at the Blues have denied any deal is imminent, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for the 21-year-old.

Beto was Moyes’ go-to number nine when he took over from Sean Dyche due to the several fitness issues in the squad.

The former Udinese centre-forward’s purple patch helped Everton get through a rough period and finish 13th in the Premier League.

Villarreal striker Thierno Barry is on the Toffees’ radar, but the French youngster is untested in the English top flight, and there’s no guarantee he will be a success.

The Blues arguably need a reliable goalscorer for next season, and Beto is their best bet at the moment.

Calvert-Lewin and Chermiti’s injury record has been concerning, and the Merseyside outfit could do with several reinforcements up top.

Even if Moyes gets a new number nine ahead of next season, the Guinea-Bissau centre-forward should be kept as a backup option.
