Everton are reportedly keen on a reunion with John Stones, who’s currently plying his trade at Manchester City.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the setbacks the centre-back has faced recently ahead of a potential transfer.

Stones expected to clear his medical despite recent injuries
Despite the 31-year-old’s recent hamstring and foot issues, he should be passing his medical, according to Dr Brar.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Stones: “Everton may take a closer look at recent recurring hamstring and foot injuries.
“Has played many minutes at high intensity, so that’s something to take note of.
“*Despite that, he should be clearing his medical, but this is something they will be considering.*“

Everton should consider bringing Stones back to the club
Stones’ potential return to Everton this summer makes sense for both club and player.
At 31, he has seen limited minutes at Manchester City in 2024/25, starting just 12 Premier League games due to competition from Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol.
A move back to the Toffees, where he made 95 appearances from 2013-16, offers regular playing time to extend his England career ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Everton desperately need his experience, composure and “world-class” ball-playing ability to bolster a leaky defence.
His leadership could stabilise David Moyes’ squad, while the emotional pull of returning to his boyhood aligns with Stones’ desire for a meaningful role.
With City open to a deal, it’s a pragmatic move for Everton’s ambitions for next season.
