With the 2024/25 season now over, footballers across Europe are enjoying some well-earned downtime.
For one Manchester United player, the summer break began with a very special milestone.
Diogo Dalot, fresh from a challenging season at Old Trafford, is making headlines off the pitch this week.
The Portuguese full-back has taken time away from football to celebrate a major life event with his long-time partner.

Over the weekend, Dalot married Claudia Lopes in a lavish ceremony in southern Portugal.
The newlyweds shared stunning scenes from the event on social media.
As per Daily Mail’s report, the pair tied the knot at the Palace of Queluz in the Portuguese Riviera.
They danced into the night surrounded by friends and family.
Clips posted to their Instagram accounts captured the joyful scenes, including a surprise performance by Portuguese musicians Richie Campbell and Plutonio.
As well as a moment on the dance floor where Dalot showed off his moves.
Though none of his Manchester United or Portugal teammates appeared to be in attendance according to Daily Mail, the celebrations were filled with warmth and energy.
Dalot and Lopes have been together since 2020 and welcomed their daughter, Clara, late last year.

Lopes also accompanied Dalot during his loan stint at AC Milan in 2020-21.
Despite United’s struggles last season – finishing 15th in the Premier League and losing the Europa League final, Dalot has remained a positive figure and vocal supporter of manager Ruben Amorim.
He has backed the under-pressure boss, praising his vision and standards.
The Portuguese has also insisted that the players must take accountability for results.
Dalot made over 50 appearances for United last season and is expected to remain a key figure in Amorim’s squad as the team looks to rebuild this summer.
