Jadon Sancho’s Manchester United future has been uncertain for some time now, and his loan stint at Chelsea last season failed to change that.
The former England international had flashes of good form at Stamford Bridge.
However, he ultimately struggled with consistency, scoring just four goals in 39 appearances.
Despite an obligation to buy clause in his loan deal, Chelsea opted to pay a £5m penalty fee to send the 25-year-old back to Old Trafford this summer.

That decision has now opened the door for another European side to make their move – and they appear to be edging closer.
According to Turkish journalist Murat Zorlu, Fenerbahce are progressing well in negotiations to sign Sancho.
Serious steps are being taken to finalise a deal.
Zorlu spoke on Sports Digitale’s YouTube video posted Monday afternoon.
Zorlu stated via @ajansfenercom on X: “As far as I know, there has been serious progress with Jadon Sancho.
“He’s the one that’s moving forward right now.”
The Istanbul club have been linked with Sancho since May.
Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, currently the Fenerbahce manager, is said to have given the green light for a move, with the club already in contact with United.

With Allan Saint-Maximin returning to Al-Ahli following a season-long loan, Mourinho is eager to secure a high-profile replacement on the wing.
One challenge Fenerbahce face is Sancho’s significant wages, which could be difficult to match outright.
His salary demands are why Chelsea failed to reach an agreement, in order to keep the former Borussia Dortmund winger.
However, Turkey’s favourable tax regime for footballers – capped at 20%, compared to over 45% in the UK, is seen as a key factor that could help the deal go through.
It’s a financial edge that has previously enabled Turkish clubs like Galatasaray to attract top-tier players, including names like Victor Osimhen.
For United, any potential deal involving Sancho would help free up wages and create space in the squad as Ruben Amorim is hoping for the summer rebuild to pick up pace.
