In seemingly the blink of an eye, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has gone from the consensus No. 1 overall after a stellar Heisman-winning college career - hearing his name called in his parents' basement during the 2020 pandemic - to leading the NFL in passing and becoming a worldwide celebrity.
It's been a whirlwind of a career so far in Joe's eyes, too.
This summer, fans will get a glimpse behind the curtain of what life is like as the Bengals' franchise quarterback in the second season of Netflix's "Quarterback".
Monday, the streaming service released the new season's trailer, that stars Detroit Lions gunslinger Jared Goff and Atlanta Falcons veteran Kirk Cousins along with Burrow.
"You only have so many of these seasons," Burrow said. "You start out your career and you're like 'okay, I'm going to be playing for 15, 20 years.' It seems like a lot, and then you blink your eye and you're in Year 5.
"Next time I blink my eye it's gonna be Year 10. Now where we're at? The great ones make it work."
Without giving away too many spoilers ... the docu-series follows each quarterback and their team throughout last year's 2024 season.
The year wasn't a huge success for the Bengals as a whole, but Burrow would have the most prolific statistical season of his career, leading the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns.
Cousins' Falcons didn't see much success, either, in his first year as the team's quarterback. Just before the season kicked off, Cousins' future with the team was thrown into question after Atlanta made a stunning move in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Goff and the Lions achieved an awesome regular season, winning the NFC North and locking up the top seed in the conference playoffs. They would then suffer a heart-breaking end to their season at the hands a rookie star in the making.
The show was put together in junction with NFL Films and Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions.
The series premiers only on Netflix on July 8.
