Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Desire Doue is one of the best young players in the world.

While the French international is already a treble-winner, Manchester City would perhaps internally believe that they also have youngsters who are either comparable or better than him.

Bernardo Silva believes Oscar Bobb is the real deal and he could certainly emerge as a player who is pitted against Doue one day, considering he too can play out wide.

Rayan Cherki, who plays with the PSG winger in the French national team can also be compared to the 19-year-old.

John Arne Riise says Rayan Cherki is better than Desire Doue

Thierry Henry called Cherki “extraordinary”, which goes to show how highly-rated he is in France and alongside Doue, the former Lyon attacker is arguably his nation’s most talented youngster.

Pep Guardiola hailed Cherki after he scored against Al Ain, admitting that he rates the youngster very highly.

Rayan Cherki stats compared to Desire Doue this season

It’s safe to say that both Cherki and Doue have the potential to become world-class, which is perhaps why John Arne Riise would have found it a challenge to pick the better player between the two.

Judging by the stats, Cherki has the edge on Doue, amassing 33 goal contributions (13 goals and 20 assists) while his countryman registered 31 (15 goals and 16 assists).

Considering the former played for an inferior Lyon side in comparison to the former Rennes trickster, who was a key player for the champions of Europe goes to show how impressive the City new-boy has been.

Perhaps the deciding factor for many could be how influential the pair are for Manchester City and PSG next season.
