Paul Scholes has suggested that one former Manchester United teammate could still defy the odds and become a manager in the Premier League in the future.
The 50-year-old Manchester United legend spent his entire iconic playing career at Old Trafford across two separate spells and enjoyed incredible success at the club.
Paul Scholes lifted 11 Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies, three FA Cups and two League Cups during his time under Sir Alex Ferguson as a player.
The TNT Sports pundit was one of United’s famed ‘Class of ‘92’ breakout stars at Old Trafford, with Scholes climbing into the United first-team squad in the 1990s.
Scholes emerged from the United youth academy and he became a key midfield influence for Sir Alex Ferguson’s legendary Red Devils teams of the past.
The former United and England midfielder made 716 appearances for the Red Devils’ senior team and he netted 155 times and registered 82 assists for the club.

Paul Scholes made his feelings clear on Man Utd icon Ryan Giggs and his future as a manager in the Premier League
Paul Scholes was part of the final Manchester United team to lift the Premier League trophy in the 2012-13 season alongside fellow Class of ‘92 star Ryan Giggs.
The 50-year-old former England international initially retired from football as a player in 2011 before he made his sensational return to Old Trafford in 2012.
Scholes bowed out for the final time in his playing career at United in 2013, with Sir Alex Ferguson retiring as United manager after the 2012-13 campaign, too.
Ryan Giggs is widely regarded as one of the best Premier League players of all time and the 51-year-old captured all 13 of United’s league titles under Ferguson.
The United legend pursued a career in coaching and management after his playing career, but Giggs never managed in the Premier League as the head coach of a club.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Scholes was asked which former United teammate he could still see becoming a Premier League manager and he picked none other than Giggs.

Could Man Utd legend Ryan Giggs still do what Paul Scholes suggested by becoming a Premier League manager?
Ryan Giggs has been working as director of football for Salford City since 2024, the club he formerly co-owned alongside the likes of Phil Neville, Scholes and Nicky Butt.
The former United winger has been out of the dugout since 2022 after he resigned from his role as Wales manager – the first and only managerial spell in his career.
Giggs took charge of the Wales national team in 2018 after he left United in 2016, having served as assistant manager under Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.
However, the ex-United assistant boss took a step back from his duties with Wales in 2020 after he was arrested, with Giggs denying all of the charges at the time.
Giggs was cleared of the allegations against him in 2023 and has not returned to the dugout, but the United legend has not refused to rule out a return to management.
