Manchester United’s busy summer continues as they aim to rebuild after a dismal 2024/25 campaign under Ruben Amorim.
With Matheus Cunha already signed for £62.5 million, the Red Devils are aggressively pursuing further attacking reinforcements to avoid another underwhelming season.
Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, have redirected their transfer efforts towards Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, who remains a priority target.

That shift comes after Manchester United improved their offer for Bryan Mbeumo to a package worth over £60 million, talkSPORT’s report states.
The Red Devils have accelerated talks with Brentford in the past 24 hours.
Negotiations are said to continue into the week.
United have agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old Cameroon international.
TalkSPORT state Mbeumo is set to earn around £250,000 per week at Old Trafford.
Mbeumo, who netted 20 goals and recorded seven assists in the Premier League last season, had made it clear that his preference was to join United rather than reunite with Thomas Frank at Spurs.
His potential arrival would bolster Amorim’s options in both the wide and central attacking roles.
Thus, adding versatility and productivity to a forward line that struggled for consistency last season, with the likes of Mason Mount struggling to provide cover for Bruno Fernandes.

Meanwhile, Spurs’ attention is now fixed on Eberechi Eze.
Eze, who has also of course, been linked with a move to United.
The attacking midfielder recorded 68 goal contributions in 127 Palace appearances and famously scored the winner in their FA Cup final triumph over Manchester City.
Eze has a £68 million release clause that became active at the end of the season, and Spurs could soon look to activate it.
Manchester City, who have previously monitored Eze, remain interested but have yet to make a move this window.
United, however, are closing in on their man.
With Mbeumo now seemingly Old Trafford-bound, it marks another decisive move in what needs to be a huge summer, if Amorim is to turn his fortunes around at United.
