The Huskies have secured a commitment from the son of a Husky legend, as Brandon Roy Jr. has announced he has signed with the Huskies! Roy Jr., a graduate of Garfield High, stands at 6 foot 2, and is the latest in sons of former NBA players to make their college choice, in a class that includes names like Duke signees Cayden and Cameron Boozer (sons of Carlos Boozer), Northwestern commit Phoenix Gill (son of Kendall Gill) and the as yet uncommitted Bryce James, son of Lebron. Roy Jr. joins a class that includes fellow guards JJ Mandaquit and Courtland Muldrew, so immediate playing time may be hard to come by. In any case, this is still a signing to be excited about, because who doesn’t love Husky legacies! Welcome to Montlake Brandon!
