One of Manchester United’s most talented but unlucky young players faces a big year.
Manchester United’s FA Youth Cup winners in 2022 have enjoyed mixed success. Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho went on to play for the first team and even score in a FA Cup Final win.
Others like Isak Hansen-Aaroen and Marc Jurado have already left the club, and Sam Murray is set to be released at the end of this month.
As for Dan Gore, he is still in limbo after an injury-interrupted past two seasons. But he is still in demand.

Dan Gore wanted for move
Dan Gore made his Manchester United debut under Erik ten Hag in a Carabao Cup game in 2023. To date this remains his only senior appearance.
The central midfielder was then sent on loan to Port Vale and suffered a season ending injury on his debut.
After recovering in late 2024, Gore was loaned out to Rotherham United. He played three times, providing one assist, before suffering more injury problems.
Speaking to the Rotherham Advertiser, manager Matt Hamshaw admitted he was keen to bring him back.

Hamshaw said: “I know there is competition for him because he is highly rated at Manchester United and has been in and around their first team. I also know that their manager likes him.
“There is a foreign market open now to Manchester United and English players and we will probably have a bit of competition but if we could get him it would be amazing.”
Amorim admiration of Gore, to be determined
While Hamshaw states that Ruben Amorim is a fan of Dan Gore, his level of interest in him as a first team option is yet to be determined.
Amorim was quite happy to send Gore out on loan midseason, and Manchester United’s need to sell players means he could yet be sold, instead of sent out on loan again.
According to Manchester World, the Red Devils are open to offers for Gore to leave the club on a permanent basis.
Any sale would likely include a big sell-on clause and even a buy-back option, to allow United some kind of control over his future.
Gore is a talented option who needs to play, and United will try to do right by him one way or another.
Whether that involves a future move to Rotherham again, permanently or on loan is another matter. Yet the fact they want him back despite seeing so little of him, speaks volumes.
