Nottingham Forest have shown real ambition since returning to the Premier League in 2022.
The Reds have showcased that they’re willing to go in for the very best players available to them, even if that will see them knocked back on certain occasions.
Santiago Gimenez rejected Forest last summer, and he eventually signed for AC Milan, highlighting the sort of market the club want to do their shopping in.
Another ambitious swoop saw Forest go for Raul Asencio from Real Madrid, and he’s now a regular in the team with a £1bn release clause in a recently signed new contract.
This summer, some ambitious links have been doing the rounds, and there is yet another name to scrub off the shortlist for the Reds.

Roony Bardghji set to sign for Barcelona
According to Sky Sports News, the La Liga champions are set to win the race to land Bardghji from FC Copenhagen for a fee of just £2 million.
It’s a remarkable sum for a player tipped for a very bright future, with several Premier League clubs previously linked with the youngster.
The 19-year-old hasn’t long returned from a serious knee injury, and last season he managed just six appearances without scoring a goal.

Still, he’s a very talented boy, and now he will be added to the Barcelona squad ahead of the new campaign.
Forest need more forward options
Bardghji was clearly identified by Forest, given that he can operate anywhere across the final third.
Nuno Espirito Santo likes versatility in his players, and Bardghji would have been ideal in that sense.
Still, this signing was always likely to be a long shot given that Forest were competing with Champions League regulars like Barcelona.
Forest will have other targets on the list, and at 19-years-old it will be fascinating to see whether Bardghji can fulfil his potential at the Nou Camp.
