The NBA offseason has begun following the Game 7 win for the Oklahoma City Thunder in The Finals.
With this being said, rumors and speculations have gathered with the 2025 NBA Draft taking place this week.
Several trades have already taken place, including Kevin Durant being dealt to the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers sending a 2025 first-round pick to the New Orleans Pelicans.
With insiders looking for news on the NBA, the Charlotte Hornets have been one team that could be listening to offers that involve one of their top stars, point guard LaMelo Ball.

Senior NBA insider Shams Charania discussed the Hornets' situation during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, saying, "If a team calls the Hornets and makes a massive offer... I mean, if you're the Hornets, you have to be all ears at that point, right? The position that they are in with their franchise."
"When you're in the initial stages of a rebuild, that's typically what you do. That's typically what you prioritize," Charania added.
LaMelo Ball carries the heaviest contract within the Charlotte Hornets franchise. He signed a fully guaranteed five-year, $203.8 million contract with the Hornets in the 2023 offseason.
With four years left on the deal, if a team calls and offers a huge deal that includes Ball and his heavy contract, the Hornets could be listening to what type of assets they can acquire to help flip the franchise around.
The Charlotte Hornets haven't cracked the NBA's Play-In tournament and made the playoffs since 2016 and LaMelo Ball has played in just 105 games in the past three seasons due to lingering ankle and wrist injuries.
At 23 years old, Ball is still young and has career averages of 21.0 PTS, 6.0 REB, and 7.4 AST while shooting 42.5% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point line.
