Marcus Rashford two-word response to Man United ally Alejandro Garnacho speaks volumes

The latest Manchester United news as the two players have caused somewhat of a stir with their social media activity.

Marcus Rashford is expected to complete a transfer away from Manchester United this summer.

Marcus Rashford has given his response to a message from Man United teammate Alejandro Garnacho, with both players linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

Rashford and Garnacho are two players who are expected to leave the club in the current window. The former spent the second half of last season on loan with fellow Premier League side Aston Villa after falling down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim.

United saw off interest in Garnacho from both Napoli and Chelsea back in January, turning down a bid of around £40 million from the former. The player was however reportedly told by Amorim at the end of the season that he needed to find a new club.

The winger is currently on holiday in Ibiza, and shared some photos on his own Instagram channel. The third picture shows him wearing an Aston Villa shirt from the season just gone with ‘Rashford 9’ on the back.

The post prompted a quick response from Rashford himself who is in the comments section with a message that simply reads: “My brother” with a red heart emoji. The message is somewhat a show of unity between two players who currently find themselves in similar situations.

Villa do have the option to make Rashford’s move permanent this summer for £40 million, but do not have first refusal on the forward. A move back to Villa Park seems unlikely at this moment in time, given the reported interest in Rashford.

Barcelona have been linked with the United man, with Rashford said to be keen on the move. However, the Catalan giants’ move for Athletic Club’s Nico Williams could potentially have an impact on a possible deal.

Both Rashford and Garnacho came up through the United academy. Rashford has played 426 first-team games for the club, scoring 138 goals, while Garnacho has played 144 times, scoring 26 times.
