With his recruitment narrowed down to three programs, four-star prospect Preston Ashley took an official visit to Colorado just prior to the current recruiting dead period. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back from Brandon (Miss.) High enjoyed the Rocky Mountain air, as well as the Buffaloes' plan for him.
"My main takeaway was this is the place for me, and that if I want to make it to the NFL, CU is the place," Ashley told BuffStampede.com, recapping his trip to Boulder. "Everything about it from the coaches to the city... I was really blown away from everything."
As with any official visit, Ashley had quality time to spend with Colorado's coaches as well as his future teammates, if he decides to be a Buff.
"It was fun getting to know them," he said. "Best staff in the world, plain and simple."
