Manchester United are two weeks away from starting their pre-season and Ruben Amorim is yet to have the majority of his transfer business completed.
So far, only Matheus Cunha has arrived after United moved quickly to sign the Brazilian. After monitoring the attacker for some time, United triggered his £62.5million release clause early in the window.
A similar attacker in the same mould of Cunha, a striker and goalkeeper are on the agenda for sporting director Jason Wilcox. For whatever reason though, United have only managed to get one new face through the door.
Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans, who is reportedly set to return to Old Trafford in a staff capacity, have already left the club and even more players are guaranteed to depart in the coming weeks.
The most likely deal to be announced next is Bryan Mbeumo. After United failed in their first bid for the Brentford star, reports on Monday evening claimed a new and improved proposal had been submitted, surpassing the £60m mark. It's understood that Brentford are keen to receive a large fee up front rather than United's initial plan to spread the fee across instalments.
Once another attacking playmaker is through the door, the next deal could see two surprise swap deals emerge. The first could come with Jadon Sancho departing to Juventus and the Old Lady sending Douglas Luiz and Dusan Vlahovic to Old Trafford.
There's also been talk of a possible 'swap' deal with Chelsea. The Telegraph have reported that both clubs are weighing up the possibility of swapping Alejandro Garnacho and Christopher Nkunku, two players who want out of their current situations.

The need to generate funds to reinvest elsewhere has never been greater than it is now. Sancho and Garnacho leaving would then place Marcus Rashford and Antony into the bomb squad as players United want to cash in on. As has been the case for most of the window, the pair continue to attract interest.
Finally, a surprise exit is reportedly edging towards completion with Casemiro and Al Nassr. Saudi Arabia outlet Sport Jazirah reported early this week that Cristiano Ronaldo's team are 'close' to the signing of the Brazilian, though no fee has been reported as of yet. His exit could kickstart United's business due to his reported £375,000-per-week salary being off the books.
