Sophie Cunningham had an interesting clothing choice for her Indiana Fever’s game on Sunday.
The WNBA showed what the Fever players were wearing as they showed up to their game against the Las Vegas Aces at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Cunningham wore a T-shirt that said “Tres Leches” on it. “Tres Leches” is Spanish for “three milks.” The shirt features images of Cunningham, Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull. All three are white, which is where the “leches” comes in as “milk” is a negative nickname for someone who is white.
Here is a look at Cunningham in her shirt.

The shirt is a product from Barstool Sports, so Cunningham is doing them a favor by wearing it.
Though Cunningham is a role player for the Fever, she is surging in popularity. Sales of her Fever jersey spiked after she stood up for teammate Caitlin Clark. The 28-year-old guard took down Jacy Sheldon, who had been aggressive with Clark earlier in the game.
Cunningham is averaging 5.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game this season for Indiana. Her more important role for the team may be as their enforcer protecting Caitlin Clark. That’s a role she embraces and says she had to take up because of a lack of protection from the league.
The Fever are 6-7 this season and have lost two games in a row. Clark is averaging 19.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game in her second year in the league. She’s only played in eight games after missing time due to a quad injury.
The shirt worn by Sophie Cunningham is reminiscent of a shirt worn by some Eagles players last season.
