AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - After watching the Oklahoma City Thunder win the NBA Finals, 15-year-old Anthony has just one dream left he would like to see happen this year.
“My past football games that I played in this season for my other school, at the end of the game I would see all the other kids going to their moms and dads and giving them hugs and saying, ‘Hello, mom and dad,’” said Anthony. “I was the only one sitting out and didn’t have that feeling because I don’t have a mom and dad.”
Anthony says he would like to have a mom and dad be there after a football game.
“So that I could go right now and give them a hug and say, ‘Hello, mom and dad. How you doing?’ And actually feel that having mom and dad and that supports me,” said Anthony.
He says he used to dream of playing in the NFL, but now he would love to pursue a career in construction and attend school to earn multiple degrees.
He would love to manage his own site and says having a family would help him get there.
“Most of the older kids need support too, like they go through stuff that most kids usually go through without support. They need support too,” said Anthony.
Outside of helping him with day-to-day life, Anthony says he dreams of having a family to watch sports with.
“It doesn’t have to be my favorite team, it could be just a college game or high school game, because that’s what I used to go into and because I just really enjoy watching sports,” said Anthony.
Also in his dream world, he would get to have a brother.
