Tom Brady gives high praise to ‘greatest ever’ LeBron James

Tom Brady knows what it’s like to be crowned the greatest of all time (GOAT) after dominating the NFL for over two decades and winning seven Super Bowls — six with the New England Patriots.

So he knows how to recognize other greats even if it’s not in football.

Brady appeared on a live episode of LeBron James’ “The Shop: Uninterrupted" at Fanatics Fest over the weekend and offered up high praise for the Los Angeles Lakers star.

“With the intensity that’s been on him, the Olympics, the different teams that he’s been on, he’s always risen above all the noise and the BS and continued to deliver,” Brady said, via ESPN. “You’re witnessing the greatest ever, and I hope you guys all appreciate that.”

James, who just wrapped up his 22nd NBA season, averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game in 2024-25. As noted by Bleacher Report, the 40-year-old became the first NBA player ever to average more than 7.4 points per game beyond their 20th season.

The four-time NBA champion has also been no stranger to offering the same kind of praise to Brady, often calling him the GOAT on social media throughout the former quarterback’s Hall of Fame career.

Brady retired at the age of 45. It’s unclear if James will play that long, but he doesn’t need to in order to have Brady’s respect.

“There’s no one that’s navigated their career better than LeBron,” Brady said.
