Simons, a 26-year-old combo guard, averaged 19.3 points and 4.8 assists in 32.7 minutes per game for the Blazers last season, his seventh in the NBA.

Holiday, who is 35, averaged 11.1 points and 3.9 assists in 30.6 minutes per game over 62 appearances for the Celtics last year. He is a two-time NBA champion, once with the Celtics in 2024 and once with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021.

Simons is on the last year of his contract. He is scheduled to make $27.7 million next season.

Holiday signed a four-year, $135 million extension in 2024. He is set to make $32.4 million next year, $34.8 million in 2026-27, and $37.2 million on a player option in 2027-28.

The Blazers previously acquired Holiday as part of a trade in 2023 that sent Damian Lillard to the Bucks. Holiday never played for Portland, as the Blazers moved him to the Celtics soon after.
