Madden Ratings Predicted To Deliver Big Shock For Chicago Bears

One of the few fun events football fans have during the summer is the anticipated release of the Madden ratings. This is when they get an idea of what the video game creators think of every team’s roster based on collected data. The Chicago Bears haven’t had a strong presence on this front in a long time. It’s been many years since Brian Urlacher and Devin Hester led some really good Madden teams in the late 2000s. Hopes are high that things might change with the young, talented group the team has assembled.

It will be another seven weeks before the game releases. However, it appears some early projections have already surfaced. MUT Leaks uses advanced computing data to determine how players will grade out. Their predictions were mostly accurate last year. That is what makes their recent revelation so interesting. They unveiled how they think the 2025 draft class will grade. Hidden amidst the many names was a genuine shock involving the Bears.

Apparently, they expect wide receiver Luther Burden III to hold a higher grade (76) than tight end Colston Loveland (73).

Again these are not final. Done the same way as the one's here; pic.twitter.com/vkeBCngZgp which mostly held; given the game does not release for 7 more weeks this is expected. Current state as of now.

Regs data. We did them last year as well if you want to check accuracy; obviously not final but gives a decent idea of placements.

This signals the Chicago Bears may have done the draft right.

Some may say it’s a bad sign when your top 2nd round pick is rated higher than your 1st round pick. So here’s another way to put it. Only nine players in the entire draft have higher grades than Burden. That should tell you the caliber of talent they managed to scoop at #39 overall. As for Loveland’s rating? It is still perfectly respectable. Don’t forget he missed the last few games of his final season at Michigan. Sam LaPorta, the eventual Pro Bowler for Detroit, came into the league with a 70 rating. That worked out pretty well. It seems the Madden team still has high hopes for the Chicago Bears’ 10th overall pick. It will be interesting to see if either of those ratings changes by the end of this season.
