Manchester United and Chelsea are not in negotiations over a swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho and Christopher Nkunku yet, journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The two Premier League clubs are reportedly ‘fully aware’ of the situation regarding their two forwards but have yet to take any initial steps towards a potential summer deal.
Romano claims personal terms have also not been agreed with any of the players involved, despite Man United emerging as suitors for Nkunku this week and Chelsea holding a long-standing admiration for Garnacho:
“As of tonight, guys, I can tell you that concrete negotiations between Chelsea and Man United for Alejandro Garnacho and Christopher Nkunku are still not taking place.
“My understanding is that the two clubs are fully aware of the situation, yes, but they're not negotiating a swap deal at the moment.
“No club-to-club contact, also no personal terms agreed between any of the parties involved.”
