The Baltimore Ravens justmade a big move in the offseason, as they immediately swooped in on the opportunity to acquiredefensive back Jaire Alexander. After getting released by the Green Bay Packers, Alexander did not have to wait for a long time to find a new home, with the Ravens signing him to a one-year contract worth $4 million.
Alexander always has the potential to make a huge impact for his team on the field, but it’s his availability that has hindered him a lot from doing that consistently for the Packers. Nevertheless, Alexander comes over to a Baltimore squad that’s clearly hopeful that he could elevate further the team’s secondary that already features gamers in Nate Wiggins, Kyle Hamilton and Marlon Humphrey.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Alexander’s arrival in Baltimore improves the Ravens’ depth and provides the team another talented weapon to use to contain opposing wide receivers.
Others may think that the Ravens have a surplus of such talents in the team’s stop unit, but that isn’t a bad thing either for Humphrey, who is a four-time Pro Bowler.”
A quote that’s never been said and probably will never be said in NFL history is, ‘We got too many corners that can cover,'” Humphrey said (h/t theRavens’ official website). “I think that’s a great problem to have. Really excited for that addition. The options are endless. It’s going to be a fun secondary.
Alexander has career totals of 12 interceptions and 70 passes defended in 78 regular-season games in the NFL.
