Holding the first pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Mavericks started offseason with extending Daniel Gafford's contract.

Gafford is now set to earn nearly $60 million on a brand new three-year deal.

Base salary of this contract makes Gafford eligible for trade in his first season already.

Gafford, 26, is set to make around $14 million next season before the extension kicks in.

The Mavericks acquired Gafford from the Washington Wizards two seasons ago, one of two key trades that helped spark the team's run to the NBA Finals in 2024.
