Newcastle United continue to rack up the off-field profits at the STACK after the club's first year has been toasted a major success internally.

As reported by Chronicle Live last year the STACK had clocked up profits of around £400,000 in the week leading up to Christmas alone with numbers around the seven-figure mark on a monthly basis throughout the 2024/25 campaign.

And that has continued across the summer months too with the venue now one of the "go to" places for revellers in the city centre.

The club reported that 35,000 concert-goers across three days of performances by Sam Fender at St. James’ Park will also by a timely PSR boost ahead of the Premier League's PSR health check deadline at the end of the month.

The Magpies announced that it will enjoy planning permission until 2031 - a date insiders feel could coincide with either the completion of a revamped St James' Park or new stadium.

Last week, Brad Miller stated the club's delight at the success of the STACK and said: "The St. James’ STACK has been a fantastic addition to the city and we’re delighted to receive an additional five years of planning permission.

"As a dedicated fanzone, it has become a huge attraction for people attending matches and events at the stadium.

"But it’s so much more than that. It has been incredibly popular with families, it has increased trade throughout the week and it has created vital employment opportunities.

"It also provides an important revenue stream for the football club that will continue to fuel our growth on and off the pitch.

"I’d like to thank the team at STACK and our city partners for their support and collaboration. We’re excited to continue our work together."

Newcastle chiefs need no reminding that fans are anxious for an update on the stadium after it was expected in the first half of 2025.

But talks behind the scenes remain ongoing and Toon top brass insist that any developments will be communicated at the earliest point possible.
