Sunderland in talks to sign 24-year-old – Working to reach agreement with his camp

Sunderland are one of the clubs in the race to sign Yverdon Sport FC’s Moussa Baradji this summer.

The midfielder left Legnago for the Swiss club in July of last year and played 29 games in his debut season. He had an exceptional campaign but is expected to leave after Yverdon Sport’s relegation from the top flight.

That’s according to Africa Foot, and their title says Sunderland ‘are in talks’ to secure the 24-year-old’s services.

Within the report, it’s stated Régis Le Bris appreciates the player’s profile a lot, and an approach has already been made.

Africa Foot state the English club contacted the player’s representative and ‘hope to reach an agreement’ with him. If this is sorted, Sunderland will have to agree terms with Yverdon Sport.

Baradji has a year left on his contract and it will cost close to €3m to secure his services in the summer window.

Fiorentina, Parma AC, Torino FC, FC Basel, Galatasaray and Celtic are also said to have approached him. Therefore, Yverdon Sport will find it difficult to retain the player.

Sunderland hope to find an agreement and get ahead in the transfer race for Baradji.
