Arsenal could perform a U-turn on Viktor Gyokeres
Arsenal's summer has been rather subdued so far, much to the chagrin of their supporters.
The Gunners have been on the hunt for a forward since January, but a deal remains elusive. They've set their sights on Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
It seemed that the RB Leipzig star was becoming their top target, but reports now suggest that Mike Arteta hasn't given up on Sporting Lisbon's Gyokeres.
Sporting haven't made it easy for the Swedish striker's admirers, causing a rift between the two sides. However, the Gunners haven't been completely deterred and are now readying a new bid.

Arsenal are gearing up to make a new bid for Viktor Gyokeres as they refocus their efforts on the Swedish international. Sporting Lisbon turned down the Gunners' initial £55million offer for the striker, reports the Mirror.
Despite the hurdles, Arsenal are not backing down, with Correio da Manhã reporting that the Premier League team is 'gearing up to table another offer'. It's suggested that gaffer Mikel Arteta is keen to seal the deal before the club's Asia tour.
The first match of this tour kicks off on 23 July against AC Milan in Singapore.

Oleksandr Zinchenko's departure from Arsenal is gaining momentum, with AC Milan eyeing the Ukrainian as their replacement for Theo Hernandez. The Frenchman is tipped to be offloaded to the Saudi Pro League.
Corriere Dello Sport reports that Milan's sporting director Igli Tare has been in 'contact' with middlemen handling Zinchenko's exit. The Rossoneri are aiming to secure a deal under £20m for the left-back.
Zinchenko is reportedly 'open' to a move to the San Siro, with only his wage demands posing a potential hurdle. However, the 28-year-old's agents continue to negotiate with the Serie A heavyweights, although Hernandez's departure must happen first.
Bradley Barcola bid knocked back
Arsenal's hopes of landing Bradley Barcola have taken a hit after Paris Saint-Germain turned down an enquiry from the Gunners. The 22-year-old lost his spot in Luis Enrique's squad following the January signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

This sparked rumours that he might be looking for a transfer this summer to secure more playtime. Arsenal were among the clubs showing interest in the French player, but according to L'Equipe, he's more likely to stay put at Parc des Princes.
Reports suggest there's no 'war of egos' between Barcola and PSG's other strikers and he's not discontented. Actually, he's keen on staying in the French capital.
