Bayern Munich midfielder Palhinha is facing an uncertain future at the club.
After struggling to make an impact last season, Palhinha could be sold by Bayern this summer.
Several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Fulham, are interested in signing him on loan. However, the midfielder is willing to fight for his place.

The Red Devils are considering a massive overhaul in the summer transfer window, and signing a midfielder is a top priority for Ruben Amorim.
After signing Matheus Cunha for £62.5 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Man Utd are on a tight budget. According to a recent report from GiveMeSport, they are eyeing a loan move for Palhinha.
Palhinha was a huge success at Fulham before he moved to Bayern in the summer of 2024. The Cottagers are still keen to bring the Portugal international back to their club, and they are also interested in an initial loan deal.
Christian Falk recently informed CFBayern Insider that Palhinha will hold talks with Kompany to check where he stands in the manager’s plans. Bayern have set an asking price of £30m for Palhinha.
The midfielder is currently with the Bayern squad at the Club World Cup, but he has been overlooked so far.
According to Sky journalist Kerry Hau (h/t @iMiaSanMia), Palhinha still wants to stay at Bayern and turn his career around. However, a potential exit cannot be ruled out if Bayern receive a good offer.
Should Palhinha leave Bayern?
Palhinha will probably be taking a leaf out of Leon Goretzka’s book for motivation, but it makes sense for him to move to the Premier League if Man Utd or Fulham make an offer.
Failing in the Bundesliga does not make him a bad player overnight. Probably, the Premier League suit his playing style. But most importantly, he must get regular game time.
He still has plenty of football left in him and shouldn’t waste time on the bench. Having said that, it makes little sense for Bayern to send him out on loan. They should only sell him directly and reinvest in the squad.
As it stands, Palhinha’s exit has not been ruled out, which should give Manchester United enough encouragement to lodge a formal bid in the coming weeks.
