Leeds United are looking at more options to strengthen their back line even after striking an £18m deal to sign Jaka Bijol from Udinese, according to reports.
Daniel Farke is prioritising defensive reinforcements this summer as the Whites gear up for their return to the Premier League. With all three of last season’s promoted sides suffering relegation, Leeds will be desperate to avoid the same fate in 2025/26.
Bijol already represents a big statement of intent.
The Slovenian international can bring top-level European experience and leadership qualities that will be invaluable in a season where they could prove decisive. But Leeds aren’t done yet.
The club have now been linked with Real Betis defender Natan. The 24-year-old Brazilian only just made his move to the La Liga side permanent this summer, after Betis triggered an option to buy following a loan spell from Napoli.
Despite bouncing between Red Bull Bragantino, Napoli and Betis in the last three years, Natan appears to have finally settled.
He featured in 52 matches last season, playing a key role in Betis’ run to the UEFA Conference League final.

Should a deal be struck, it could see Leeds start the season with an entirely new centre-back partnership - one built on experience and pedigree.
For Farke, reducing goals conceded will be one of the most effective paths to survival. There's also a touch of symmetry to this potential deal. Junior Firpo is set to return to his former club Betis after leaving Elland Road on a free transfer.
While Natan isn’t a direct replacement, Leeds could swap one defender heading to Betis for another departing the Seville-based side.
The interest in Natan also comes with some promising endorsements. Brazil’s new manager, Carlo Ancelotti, recently included him in his first preliminary squad for the Selecao.
A potential senior international call-up could be on the cards, adding even more pedigree to a player Leeds are seriously considering.
