TBR Football can reveal that Jamie Gittens only wants to sign for Chelsea this summer.
The young Englishman was expected to be on the move this summer after his brilliant campaign at Borussia Dortmund.
Gittens, still only 20, directly contributed to 17 goals in all competitions last season, and he attracted a fair bit of interest.
However, TBR can confirm that Gittens only wants to join one club – Chelsea.
Jamie Gittens only wants to join Chelsea after rebuffing Bayern Munich interest
Sources close to Jamie Gittens have confirmed to TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, that the player is focused on moving to Chelsea this summer.
Gittens rebuffed interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich in this window, and even though the latter has rekindled their interest in the Borussia Dortmund star, he remains committed to joining Chelsea.
The 20-year-old agreed terms on a long-term deal with the Blues earlier this month — prior to the Club World Cup transfer deadline closing — but the two clubs could not reach an agreement on the fee.
TBR can reveal that talks, which have always been amicable, between Chelsea and Dortmund restarted on Monday.
Bayern Munich made fresh enquiries after their recent failures to land Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams — the German chose to join Liverpool, while the Spain international is hoping to seal a move to Barcelona instead.
Despite Bayern’s renewed interest, Gittens is determined to finalise a move to West London and play for Chelsea next season — he doesn’t want to join any other club.
Blues sources have now confirmed to TBR that a deal is close to being done.

Jamie Gittens’ stats compared to Chelsea’s wingers last season
Chelsea went into the window this summer knowing that they needed reinforcements in wide areas.
Mykhaylo Mudryk is not an option, while Jadon Sancho has been sent back to Manchester United after the Blues failed to agree terms with him.
Gittens became the top target, and his stats explain why.
Games Goals Assists
Jamie Gittens 49 12 5
Pedro Neto 47 8 9
Jadon Sancho 42 5 10
Noni Madueke 43 11 5
As the table shows above, Gittens scored more goals than Chelsea’s three main wingers last season, which is excellent considering he is still only 20.
The young Englishman impressed everyone with his performances last season. Dortmund hero Emre Can was blown away too and branded him as ‘unstoppable’ (Daily Echo).
It will be interesting to see how Gittens will fare for Chelsea next season if this move goes through as expected.
