Wolves have made a conscious effort at the start of this summer to support Vitor Pereira as much as possible, with some potentially exciting transfers on the horizon.
It was announced earlier in June that Matt Hobbs had left his role as sporting director, and Domenico Teti has been appointed as the club’s technical director, having previously worked with Vitor Pereira at Al Shabab.
The restructuring of the recruitment team also includes the return of super agent Jorge Mendes, who is working closely with Pereira and Teti by using his extensive list of links.
Mendes has already lured one of his clients to Molineux, with Wolves signing winger Fer Lopez on a five-year contract from Celta Vigo.
A transfer for the Spaniard was officially announced on Friday, but before Hobbs left the club, he was working on a potential alternative.

Matt Hobbs was working on a move for Bournemouth’s David Brooks
Sky Sports journalist Johnny Phillips previously uncovered the news that Wolves were set for a shake-up at boardroom level, which has since come to fruition.

Now, in his latest Substack piece, Phillips revealed that former sporting director Hobbs was working on moves for multiple targets, including Bournemouth winger David Brooks.
It is also stated that Wolves were eyeing a move for a Bundesliga forward, but it looks as though any targets established by Hobbs will now be removed from the list.

Links to Brooks come as a surprise because the Welshman only started nine times in the Premier League last term and has been linked with a move to rivals West Brom in the Championship.
The 27-year-old is a similar type of player to Lopez, predominantly operating down the right flank but cutting inside with his dangerous left foot and being eyed as a replacement for Pablo Sarabia.
What Eddie Howe once said about Brooks
Brooks is an exciting player to watch, but he’s not someone who can start regularly in the top flight, especially for a team that has high ambitions.
As a youngster, though, he was rated highly by Eddie Howe during his time at Bournemouth, and after Brooks scored a brace against Brighton in December 2018, the Englishman labelled him ‘sublime’.
“It has typified his introduction to the club,” Howe said via Sky Sports. “He has played ever so well for us, he has got a creative flair, non-stop energy and he took his goals really well today.
“He is a player that can do a little bit of everything, he is very good offensively, is creative, turns well with the ball and is very intelligent.
“His first goal was sublime and his second was very clever because he was running at an angle and just directed it backwards behind him which was really impressive.”
