Newcastle United have reportedly enquired about the availability of Randal Kolo Muani, according to a report by TuttoJuve’s Mirko Di Natale.
The French international, currently on loan at Juventus from PSG, is said to have drawn interest from three Premier League clubs—Chelsea, Manchester United, and Newcastle.
Di Natale posted on X that while Juventus want to keep the striker following a productive loan spell, Newcastle and others have contacted PSG regarding his status.
“Not only #Chelsea (#CFC), but the other two Premier League clubs that have inquired about Randal #KoloMuani are #ManUtd (#MUFC) and #Newcastle (#NUFC).
“#Juve will negotiate with #Psg for his permanent transfer after the CWC and is counting on his strong desire to stay in Turin. The player is NOT in Luis Enrique’s plans.
“Situation still open.“ — Mirko Di Natale
Kolo Muani scored eight goals in 16 Serie A appearances after joining Igor Tudor’s squad in the second half of the season. The 26-year-old was previously linked with Newcastle during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, before PSG signed him in 2023 for a reported €95 million fee.
After struggling to find a large role in Luis Enrique’s system at PSG, he went on loan, and he’s not expected to feature in the manager’s plans next season.
Any Newcastle move for Kolo Muani comes with several complications, the most obvious being that PSG are expected to demand a significant fee despite the player’s drop in value.
Add the competition that will be out there to try and land him, with Juventus and a few EPL heavyweights in the mix, and the conditions are not quite perfect for the Magpies.
Still, Kolo Muani would give NUFC a much-needed influx of Champions League experience and add a flexible forward to the lineup, both things apt for a Newcastle team over-reliant on Alexander Isak up front.
