Bryan Mbeumo salary at Manchester United revealed

Manchester United’s summer transfer window is heating up with manager Ruben Amorim making aggressive moves to reshape his attacking options for the new season.

After a frustrating end to their pursuit of top target Liam Delap — who opted to join Chelsea — and a setback in the race for Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres, who is leaning towards a move to Arsenal, the Red Devils are urgently shifting focus.

With pre-season fixtures looming, United are eager to reinforce the squad before their first tour match, and the club’s hierarchy is working around the clock to finalise deals.

Amorim is prioritising a dynamic and proven forward to lead his attack, and attention has turned to a Premier League star who fits the bill.

Manchester United have now submitted an improved £60 million bid for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, as they push to secure the 25-year-old forward before rivals step in.

Brentford are holding firm on their £65 million valuation — a figure that includes performance-based add-ons — arguing that Bryan Mbeumo, who scored 20 league goals last season, is worth more than Wolves’ Matheus Cunha, for whom United were ready to pay a £62.5 million release clause.

The Cameroonian is also expected to be handed a lucrative contract at Old Trafford, with The Guardian indicating he’ll earn at least £150,000 a week — putting him on the same pay scale as Cunha would have received.

United believe Mbeumo’s age, output, and versatility justify the investment, and negotiations are said to be progressing positively.

Meanwhile, Chelsea remain interested in United winger Alejandro Garnacho and could attempt to include Christopher Nkunku in a potential swap deal, particularly if they fail to sign Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.

Nkunku, who joined Chelsea for £52 million in 2023, has struggled with injuries and limited minutes, with head coach Enzo Maresca recently stating: “Christo is with us.

“He is our player. He is doing very well in the last four or five days to be honest.

“So probably also we can think of giving him some chances.”

While Nkunku remains an option for United, Mbeumo is currently viewed as the priority target in Amorim’s hunt for attacking reinforcements.
