Walsall are leading the race to sign Bournemouth forward Jonny Stuttle on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old has been given the green light by the Premier League club for a new loan after temporary spells at Aldershot and Farnborough last season.

Stuttle is a target for a host of League Two and National League sides in this summer’s transfer window.

League Two club Walsall are now hopeful of securing the player’s signature.

After scoring ten goals and providing two assists in 19 National League South games last season, there is a growing feeling that he is ready to make a step up.

The forward returned to MK Dons following the end of his short-term spell, and manager Mat Sadler is determined to add further quality to his squad in his place.

After a poor end to the season, having once amassed a 12-point advantage at the top of League Two before finishing fourth, they will be looking to earn promotion next season.

Walsall utilised loan deals to their advantage with nine players joining on temporary deals over the course of the season, and are prepared to do so again this summer.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, are keen for their 19-year-old academy prospect to gain playing experience in the EFL and Walsall is seen as an ideal destination.

Antoine Semenyo update emerges at the Vitality Stadium

Bournemouth are preparing to lose a number of players this summer, not just on loan, with the likes of Ilya Zabarnyi and Milos Kerkez closing in on exits.

However, Football Insider revealed on 23 June that Bournemouth are planning to keep Antoine Semenyo and have set a £70million price tag to stave off interest.

Plans are also being put in place to replace the winger should he leave for big money as the likes of Tottenham and Man United continue to monitor his situation.

Tottenham have made contact about a potential deal – leaving Bournemouth with the very real possibility of losing four key men in the summer transfer window.
