Nottingham Forest have been forced to move their opening match of the new Premier League season.
The Reds will face Brentford at the City Ground in their first league match - and they were due to host the Bees on Saturday, August 16 (3pm).
But the match will now be played on Sunday, August 17, with the kick-off now scheduled for 2pm. It will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Forest have been forced to change the date of the match because of The Hundred cricket matches being played at Trent Bridge on Saturday, August 16.
A club statement read: “The date and kick-off time for Nottingham Forest’s opening fixture of the 2025/26 Premier League season has been changed due to other events in the area taking place on the original match date.
“Forest were due to welcome Brentford to the City Ground on Saturday 16 August for a 3pm kick-off, but due to The Hundred taking place at Trent Bridge on the same afternoon, the date and kick-off time have been adjusted.
“The Reds will now welcome the Bees to NG2 on Sunday 17 August for a 2pm (BST) kick-off on Trentside. The match will also be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
“The ticket information is yet to be confirmed but will be communicated with supporters at the earliest opportunity.”
