Newcastle United keen to sign out-of-favour Man United star

Newcastle United are linked with one Man United star. The player has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are keen to sell him this summer after loaning him out in January window.

The star in question here is Marcus Rashford. He has been with United since academy days. He has played big role for United since a long time but recently he has not been able to impress. As a result, he has fallen down the pecking order with United open to sell him.

Rashford was sent on loan to Aston Villa in January. He looked very good under Unai Emery’s guidance. Villa wanted to sign him permanently but Rashford rejected the offer. The 27 year old wants to join Barca but the spanish champions are close to sign Nico Williams.

Newcastle United interested to sign Marcus Rashford

Newcastle United are keen to sign some more attackers this summer. They are back in Champions League and have also ended their trophy drought. Eddie Howe is being backed by the board. He wants to improve both the middle and wide parts of the attack.

“Newcastle have been keeping a close eye on Rashford. He would be a good addition to the Eddie Howe’s squad because he can play out wide and through the middle, both areas they’re looking to strengthen” – Mick Brown told Football Insider.

The report further states that Rashford can be interested to join Newcastle too. The Magpies will offer him UCL football which Villa fell short to achieve. But, Newcastle are planning to sign him on loan and are also unwilling to pay his desired wages. The 27 year old should reduce his wages in order to find new club. Lastly, it will also depend on Man United as they would prefer a permanent sale over loan deal.
