Jens Cajuste showed some promising signs during his loan spell at Ipswich Town last season, and the midfielder is reportedly now attracting interest from Aston Villa.
The Swede is set to return to Napoli for preseason training but his future is far from being certain.
AreaNapoli report manager Antonio Conte doesn’t see Cajuste as a tactical fit for his system and Aston Villa are one of the clubs keen on the ex-Ipswich Town player.
Napoli want €10m for his permanent transfer, Udinese are also keen but it’s thought that transfer would be difficult to conclude.
That should give some hope to Aston Villa, who would also face competition from clubs in Ligue 1.
This comes after Ipswich Town made an attempt to seek a discount for a permanent deal. Kieran McKenna’s side initially had an obligation to buy Cajuste permanently, if they’d remained in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old played 33 games for Ipswich Town in the 2024/25 season.
