The future of Casemiro is uncertain this summer as he enters the final 12-months of his contract at Manchester United.
As such, this summer is the final chance United have to cash in on the veteran midfielder before risking losing him on a free transfer.
Casemiro has had a truly illustrious career, with a nine year spell at Real Madrid seeing him win five Champions Leagues, three LaLiga titles and four domestic cups, three UEFA Supercups, and three Club World Cups.
However, over the last season, the 33-year-old has appeared to be lacking on the pitch, unable to provide Ruben Amorim with the intensity he wants in the middle of the pitch at Old Trafford.
As such, Casemiro’s role has significantly shifted from being a routine starter to being a cover for the extensive injury crisis that United have faced.
Now, the Red Devils are looking to find a potential suitor for the veteran midfielder.

Whilst it was reported yesterday that Al-Nassr are in advanced talks to sign Casemiro this summer, this may not be the case.
Portuguese publication Record has reported that the Brazilian midfielder isn’t a part of the Saudi side’s plans as they look to strengthen their squad to win silverware next season.
As such, United will continue their search elsewhere to find a permanent move for Casemiro in their bid to free up capacity in both the squad and salary budget, whilst also generating funds for new signings.
The Brazilian midfielder currently earns a hefty £350,000 per week wage at Old Trafford as the club’s highest earner, which no longer reflects the role he holds in the squad.
As such, it’s understandable that United are wanting to free up these funds, especially given the financial pressures the club are currently facing.
