Man United submit new offer for Premier League forward

Manchester United will face Leeds United in Stockholm before jetting off on their pre-season tour of the United States.

The Red Devils face the Whites in Sweden later this month, before travelling for a game against West Ham United in New Jersey.

Ruben Amorim’s side will then face Bournemouth in Chicago, before finishing their tour of the USA against Everton in Atlanta, Georgia.

United’s final match before the start of the new season sees them face Serie A giants Fiorentina at Old Trafford, before they begin their Premier League campaign against Arsenal in August.

In the meantime, United have lodged another offer for one of their top transfer targets.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have tabled another bid for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.

It is claimed that the Manchester outfit’s latest offer for the Cameroon international was made in recent days and is worth in excess of £60 million.

Mbeumo has scored 70 goals and provided 51 assists in 242 games for the Bees since joining the club from French side Troyes in 2019.

Last term the forward scored 20 goals and registered eight assists in 38 Premier League games for Thomas Frank’s side, but Romano suggests that he could depart West London this summer.

Mbeumo is said to be keen on the idea of a move to Old Trafford, giving the Red Devils his priority amid ongoing discussions between the two clubs.

The Cameroonian is currently under contract with the Bees until the end of next season, but it appears increasingly likely that the London side could cash in on the player during the current transfer window.

Mbeumo – who primarily plays on the right flank but can also operate centrally – would add much needed firepower to Amorim’s squad.
